Michael has built a distinguished career defined by clinical excellence and a deep commitment to ensuring pain free management and he accepts referrals for root canal treatment, oral surgery, the provision of sleep devices as well as complex multi-disciplinary restorative cases

With a background as a Senior Dental Officer in the British Armed Forces, Michael honed his skills in high-pressure environments across the globe. This foundation led to a Master’s in Endodontics with Distinction from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in 2012, where they awarded him the Dentsply prize for Top Student. Since then, he has successfully completed thousands of complex endodontic referrals.

Beyond root canal therapy, Michael is calm and is exceptionally gifted at working with nervous patients, patients with additional needs or patients that may have unfortunately had bad experiences previously with dental care. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of dentistry, but is equally happy just having a catch up with his patients, who often report that a trip to see Michael at Dunedin is more like a social event then a trip to the dentist.

Most recently, after serving as the dentist for the Isles of Scilly, Michael has now settled in Devon. Here he brings a wealth of dental expertise and a gentle, patient-focused approach to the Exeter community. Michael has two Children and enjoys paddleboarding, kayaking and reading, but not at the same time, as the books often get wet!
